Dr Muralidhar is the president of Retina institute of Karnataka.
Dr N S Muralidhar obtained his medical degree from Bangalore Medical college and post graduate degree from AIIMS with a gold medal. He also obtained the Diplomate degree from National Board. He has undergone training in Vitreo-retina at Sydney, Australia. He started Retina Institute with Dr Hemanth Murthy in 1996. He has trained a number of doctors.
Dr Hemanth Murthy is the Medical Director and Partner, Retina Institute of Karnataka
Dr. Hemanth Murthy graduated from Bangalore Medical College in 1985. He obtained M.D. (Ophthalmology) from All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi in the year 1989 and trained at AIIMS in Retina Super speciality.
Dr. Hemanth Murthy has many publications in his name and been honored with many distinguished awards.
Dr Sunitha is the consultant in uveitis and medical retina
She did her under graduation from Mysore Medical college, post graduation in ophthalmology from Minto Ophthalmic Hospital, Bangalore and JN Medical College, Belgaum. She was awarded gold medal as the best outgoing postgraduate student for MS (ophthalmology). She did her medical retina training from Retina institute of Karnataka and uveitis training from L V Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad. She is the consultant in medical retina and uveitis.
Dr Chandrasekhara is Chief of Anaesthesia and Patron Of Retina Institute of Karnataka.
He did his undergraduation from Bangalore university and postgraduation from Kanpur. He underwent advanced training in cardiac anesthesia at Sheffield, UK and was the Medical superintendent at Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiology, Bangalore. At present he is the Prof. and HOD, Anaesthesiology and Pain Management; Sagar Hospitals, Bangalore. He has over 20 publications and is the first anesthetiologist to receive B C Roy Doctors Day Award and F I C C.
Dr Iris Rajiva is vitreoretinal anaesthesiologist and medical superintendent of Retina institute of Karnataka.
She did her undergraduation from University of Calicut and postgraduation from St John's Medical college, Bangalore. She was the highest scorer in the PG degree exam of Bangalore university. She is conducting study on "Supplementation with local anesthetic for post operative pain in vitreoretinal surgery".
Dr. Kavitha S. Rao is a consultant at retina institute of karnataka.
Dr.Kavitha Rao graduated from Mysore Medical College in 1990. She completed DNB ophthalmology from Sri Satya Sai Institute of Higher Medica Sciences,Prashanthinilayam,A.P and vitreoretina fellowship at Retina Institute of Karnataka.
Her main area of interest is screening and management of Retinopathy of prematurity.
Dr.Sumanth Kumar. is a consultant at retina institute of karnataka.
Dr AM Sumanth Kumar graduated from KIMS Bangalore in 2003. He obtained his post graduation degree from Madurai Medical College in 2009. He has been trained in vitreo-retina at Retina Institute of Karnataka.
His special interest is in screening and treatment of Retinopathy of Prematurity.
Dr Nagesh is a consultant at retina institute of karnataka.
Dr Nagesh graduated from SSMC Tumkur and completed his post graduation from JJMMC Davangere 2002.
He has 13 years of experience in cataract surgery. His Special interest is in Phaco Refractive Surgeries
Dr Manjula completed her MBBS from Mysore Medical College and did her post graduation in ophthalmology from Minto Regional Institute of Ophthalmology, Bangalore. She is working in Retina Institute of Karnataka after completing Fellowship in Medical Retina.
Dr Harish Nayak graduated from KMC Mangalore as the Blue Ribbon Student winning the TMA Pai Gold Medal. He trained further in Ophthalmology in T N Medical College in Bombay and L V Prasad Eye Institute in Hyderabad.
Dr Nayak trained in Paediatric Ophthalmology at B C Children’s Hospital, Vancouver after being awarded the John-Pratt Johnson Fellowship, and in Alder Hey Children’s Hospital. He has been a Consultant Paediatric Ophthalmologist for 5 years at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, one of the largest paediatric hospitals in Europe.
Dr Nayak has served on Orbis the Worlds Only Flying Eye Hospital as Staff and Chief Ophthalmologist for over two years.
